Local Artist Wins First Place Award at Regional Art Competition
   Diane Wolf-Latham, owner of SpiritSage Studios (Pomeroy), received the First Place prize for oil painting at the Northwest Heritage Art Show on June 10, 2007. Her winning painting is titled “Montana Mountains” and features a mountain scene in hues of browns and golds. Ms. Wolf-Latham entered two other oil paintings, “Autumn Bugle” of a bull elk and “June Bloom” of an iris, in the annual juried art show. The fine art show and sale is held each June in the Lewis & Clarks Valley.

   This year’s exhibition is at The Valley Art Center in downtown Clarkston. The 70 works of art (all types of media) by 25 artists will be on display there all month during regular business hours. Admission to view the art is Free.  In addition to Ms. Wolf-Latham, Phil Rider, another Pomeroy artist, is represented at the show.
