Vance Veach-Zellerhoff (1952-2003)

Vance Veach-Zellerhoff passed away unexpectedly from pneumonia December 8, 2003, in Spokane. He was 51.

Vance was born September 17, 1952, to Joanne Thomas and raised in Pomeroy by his mother and Joe Zellerhoff. He grew up in the Pomeroy and Lewiston areas.

He graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1970.

Vance had lived the past several years in Portland and had relocated to Spokane about eight months ago, where he worked for a janitorial company.

Vance had a passionate love for all animals, (especially cats!) and over his lifetime had adopted many homeless pets. He loved art, and was very creative at drawing and writing.

He will be sadly missed by wife Lisa Veach in Portland; his son, Jacob and wife Aubrey and their son, Zack, all of Spokane; two sisters, Lori Foster of Portland and Beki McClain of Sacramento, California; stepfather Jim Redmond of Vancouver; and Joe and Charlotte Zellerhoff of Lewiston. He was also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Vance was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Redmond.

No services will be held per his request.
